In 2020, maternal mortality ration in Kenya was at 530 which was nearly the same as the regional average (World Bank Report). We are currently at 594 for every 100,000 live births. (USAID Report (2024)). This is an overall growth by 71.4% since 2012
92.4% of maternal deaths are as a result of poor quality care and that 88.1% of these are avoidable.
